3. God wants all to be saved: “who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth” 1 Tim 2:4 God does not want anyone lost: “The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.” 2 Pet 3:9

4. The Father: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” Eph 2:8-9

5. The Son: “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace” Eph 1:7 “he entered once for all into the holy places, not by means of the blood of goats and calves but by means of his own blood, thus securing an eternal redemption. For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the sprinkling of defiled persons with the ashes of a heifer, sanctify for the purification of the flesh, how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to serve the living God” Heb 9:12-14

6. The Holy Spirit: “When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come” John 16:13 “how the mystery was made known to me by revelation, as I have written briefly. When you read this, you can perceive my insight into the mystery of Christ, which was not made known to the sons of men in other generations as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit” Eph 3:3-5

7. “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” Rom 3:23 “…‘The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” Matt 9:37-38

8. Right Name: “And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12 Right Gospel: “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek” Rom 1:16

9. Right Message: “ For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God” 1 Cor 1:18 Right Everything: “His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence” 2 Peter 1:3

10. We are not looking Say not ye, There are yet four months, and (then) cometh the harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields, that they are white already unto harvest. John 4:35 We are prejudice And Peter opened his mouth and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: Acts 10:34

11. We are just a small church And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write: These things saith the first and the last, who was dead, and lived (again): I know thy tribulation, and thy poverty (but thou art rich), and the blasphemy of them that say they are Jews, and they art not, but are a synagogue of Satan. Rev 2:8

12. We think we are too old And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher (she was of a great age, having lived with a husband seven years from her virginity, and she had been a widow even unto fourscore and four years), who departed not from the temple, worshipping with fastings and supplications night and day. And coming up at that very hour she gave thanks unto God, and spake of him to all them that were looking for the redemption of Jerusalem. Luke 2:36-38

13. We are not on fire who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a people for his own possession, zealous of good works. These things speak and exhort and reprove with all authority. Let no man despise thee. Titus 2:14-15 We are too easily discouraged And let us not be weary in well-doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Gal 6:9

14. We are not bold enough Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Eph 6:10 and that most of the brethren in the Lord, being confident through my bonds, are more abundantly bold to speak the word of God without fear; Phil 1:14

15. We lack knowledge Now these were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of the mind, examining the Scriptures daily, whether these things were so. Acts 17:11 Give diligence to present thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, handling aright the word of truth. 2 Tim 2:15

16. We have lost site of heaven If then ye were raised together with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated on the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are upon the earth. Col 3:1-2

17. We are selfish make full my joy, that ye be of the same mind, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind; (doing) nothing through faction or through vainglory, but in lowliness of mind each counting other better than himself; not looking each of you to his own things, but each of you also to the things of others. Have this mind in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Phil 2:2-5
