2 Housing Environment, Health and Youth. Housing Environment is a determinant of because of all the affects that a house can have on you health. Low income parents are more likely to have a dirty house which disease is more likely to spread than a high income parent where the house is tidy. Youth are most likely to spend most of there time at home so housing environment is important to a youth’s health. With a dirty house you are more likely to be exposed to toxics, irritants and allergens which can lead to disease.

3 Physical Affects of the Housing Environment. The Physical affects that Housing Environment can have on your health are: ∞ asthma, respiratory conditions (indoor pollutants) ∞ drinking water ∞ meningococcal infection (damp, cold or mouldy house) ∞ the number of bedrooms ∞ the safety of the house itself
