2 About the guildsmen There are five guildsmen. The haberdasher, a dyer, a carpenter, a weaver, and a carpet-maker. They all dress in livery, according to their work. A higher social status could be achieved through guild membership. They were all financially well off. Guildsmen are treated as a group and no individual importance was given to them.

3 5 different guildsmen The weaver- one of 5 guildsmen who travel with the pilgrims to canterbury. The weaver does not tell a tale. 5 What they did Guildsmen sold all different kind of goods such as clothing, swords, knifes, and house hold appliances. They were very smart, they had wisdom to make a plan, to where every they could make each of them an alderman.
