“Together We Unite To Build God’s Family” Together We GROW, United We BUILD! 1 Corinthians 9:7 1 Corinthians 9:7

“God loves it when the giver delights in the giving.” (Message Bible) “God loves it when the giver delights in the giving.” (Message Bible) Deuteronomy 10:14 1 Corinthians 16:1,2 Deuteronomy 10:14 1 Corinthians 16:1,2

GIVING is an The giver TRUSTS GOD with his or her resources.

What can we give? Why is it important that we focus on “money?”

“For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.” (NIV) “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.” (NIV)

What we think about and how we handle “MONEY” can affect our eternity! Why should we give? What should we give? To whom should we give it? When should we give?

What is the “Law of the Harvest” all about?

“The wicked man earns deceptive wages, but he who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward.” (NIV) “The wicked man earns deceptive wages, but he who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward.” (NIV) Proverbs 26:27 Proverbs 26:27

“ (v.1) There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven: (v.2) a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot.” (NIV) “ (v.1) There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven: (v.2) a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot.” (NIV)

“Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop — a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.” (NIV) “Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop — a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.” (NIV)

“Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.” (NIV) “Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.” (NIV)

“To the LORD your God belong the heavens, even the highest heavens, the earth and everything in it.” (NIV) Deuteronomy 10:14…. Deuteronomy 10:14….

When you give to the church you are GIVING TO THE LORD. When you give to the church you are GIVING TO THE LORD. STEWARDSHIP is about “management” or “managing what God place under our care.” STEWARDSHIP is about “management” or “managing what God place under our care.”

(Matthew 25:14-30) God will reward you APPROPRIATELY! God will reward you APPROPRIATELY!

“Now about the collection for God’s people ….” (NIV) 1 Corinthians 16:1a…. 1 Corinthians 16:1a…. The “money” we give is “for God’s people” – the CHURCH!

The TITHE is to be brought into the local church … the “storehouse” for what purpose?

“ On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with his income ….” (NIV) 1 Corinthians 16:2…. 1 Corinthians 16:2….

When we go to church, part of our worship is that we participate in GIVING. You habituate yourself to GIVING on a regular basis.

“…. each one of you should set aside a sum of money ….” (NIV) 1 Corinthians 16:2b…. 1 Corinthians 16:2b….

No one should consider themselves exempted from GIVING. We are all part of the body and as such are expected to participate in it.

“…. set aside a sum of money in keeping with his income ….” (NIV) 1 Corinthians 16:2c…. 1 Corinthians 16:2c…. …. in keeping with my income!

“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” (NIV) Luke 6:38…. Luke 6:38….

GIVING ten percent of your income is a good starting point. Don’t let your idea of TITHING stop you at that amount!

Because we are THANKFUL for what God has given us. It is “an act of worship.”

“And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. ” (NIV)

When you loose your grip on money, God then begins to miraculously provide.

Let’s pray!
