Asia – Attacked Manchuria, China, Korea, & Pacific Islands – US invokes embargo on Japan – Japan has no new supplies from US: Steel, Oil, Gasoline, Etc. – Japan plans to cripple US fleet in Pacific: Attack Naval Base Japanese-Americans – Thought to owe allegiance to Emperor of Japan – Emperor = god-like ruler of Japan – ALL Japanese and Japanese descended citizens placed in camps
