Make your desk an area of “essentials only” – including files, papers, and general office supplies Form the habit of being tidy - put things back in their place when you are done with them. Shred/Trash unessential paperwork Create and use folders for storing hard-copy files

File information according to project, due date, time-frame or a combination of the three Keep files/info used daily within easy reach – store all others Label folders and sort e-files on your computer desktop
