WW1 Trench video diary Drafting your script
2
Points to remember Your script must be hand written in your book It should reflect the research that is also written in your book You should try and include ‘actions’ such as pauses, emphasis etc in your draft
3
Structure First decide where and when your diary is being filmed: what exact time and date? Write this down. Next decide upon the main things you want to include in your script and the order in which you will include them, use the script checklist at the Wiki to help you. Bullet point these main things in the correct order.
4
Then… Draft your speech, paying special attention to inclusion of specific details, keywords and creating an ‘authentic’ experience. By the end of the lesson you should be in a position to film your diary for homework!
