TTCP C3I Group TP11 US National Leader 09 Mar 2010Approved for public release; distribution is unlimited. 4 ▼ C3I Group addresses technologies to achieve interoperable, seamless information systems focused on the support of allied military missions  Activities encompass the technologies of communications, distributed information systems, command and control, decision support, and information operations and include technology exchange, collaborative development, analysis, and evaluation through systems development, to include hardware, software, and components ▼ Technical Panel 11 focuses on the areas of Information Assurance (IA) and Defensive Information Warfare (DIW) ▼ As US National Leader, I am responsible for coordinating relevant US research efforts in support of TP11

TTCP 2009 Annual Meetings, United Kingdom ▼ “Quality of Protection and the Black Core” workshop  Exploring the synergies between the network management and computer network defense communities, with a particular focus on providing security (Quality of Protection) and availability (Quality of Service) in a black core architecture ▼ TP11 themes  Coalition IA – Research directed towards establishing a secure environment for information exchange within and across the information networks supporting combined operations within alliances of long-standing, and the dynamic, mission-specific networks supporting ad-hoc coalition operations  DIW in coalition environments – Providing Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) for the IW battlespace in coalition networks with specific emphasis on providing a coalition common operational picture (COP) for the IW battlespace in support of C3I Group’s strategic COP objectives 09 Mar 2010Approved for public release; distribution is unlimited. 5
