4   The first Australia’s were Aborigines.  The Aborigines were nomadic hunter-gathers. They roamed from place to place. They hunted animals using spears and boomerangs. They also gathered fruits, nuts and yams which they ate. First Australians

5  Aboriginal Culture There are 4 men sitting and looking at the stars working out what tomorrow will be like.

6   Predict I believe that origin of water is. One day a aboriginal man was climbing ayers rock. When he got up the top he wished for water. He believes in a spirit. The spirit gives him water. He can’t believe his eyes.  Summarise: Once upon a time there were animals that were thirsty and needed a drink. They would have the juice from the leafs and grass. One day there was a blue tongue lizard-bangarra he was drying himself off in the sun. The bandicoot-gudjilla was walking past when she saw bangarra in the sun. The next day she call a meeting. gudjilla said. She will go and spy on him but when she was spying on him he could see her in the corner of his eye. The next day they had another meeting and willy wag tail- jiggirrjiggirr but he couldn’t keep his tail down. They had another meeting and the rat- gula could do it. The Origin Of water

7  Question: How long did it take to find the water? Feelings: The rat felt sad that he can’t spy on the lizard. moral: Small things can do big stuff like solve a problem.

8   They didn’t have lots of fresh food.  They had a little amount of food because they were pore.  They wood still food for there tea.  the kids would live by there selves because they did have there mum and dad because they died of a disease. 18 th Century England

9   Between 1788 and 1850 the English sent over 162,000 convicts to Australia in 806 ships. The first eleven of these ships are today known as the First Fleet and contained the convicts and marines that are now acknowledged as the Founders of Australia. This is their story. 10  Journey of the First Fleet On the 13 th of may 1787: The convicts sailed from Portsmouth, England. There were 7 small ships in the first fleet: two naval ships, 6 convinces ships and three storeships. Onboard were about 1500 people. Canary inland Englan d Thay crossed the equator Rio de Janeiro Table bay Cape of good hope after surviving tremendous storms in the Atlantic Ocean. 1 st of January 1787: Adventure bay van Diemen’s land. [now Tasmania] 18 th of January 1787: Botany Bay. 26 th of January: Sydney cove.

11   Who is singing this song? The convicts on the boat.  Why are they singing it? To show there feellings.  Why are they saying ‘farewell to Old England forever?’ because they will be there for a long time.  Where were they going? Why? There going to Australia because they stoll stuff for there family and friends. Bound for botany bay
