1 SoftGOT-GOT Link function – Remote Maintenance for GOTs!
The SoftGOT-GOT link function enables GT SoftGOT1000 to connect the GOT via Ethernet. The function synchronizes SoftGOT1000 data with GOT project data and resource data. This function is available for: (GT12 not supported yet)

3 Configuration (Connection Type)

2) Ethernet connection between GOT and PLC SoftGOT reads/writes devices in a PLC by directly connecting to the PLC via Ethernet, not via GOT. Worksite Office GT15/GT16 SoftGOT RS232/ RS422/ QBUS Read/write devices by directly connecting to PLC QPLC

5 Data Auto Acquisition Function
Features •Project data auto acquisition function SoftGOT automatically acquires GOT screen data (project data). There is no need to create the project data for SoftGOT. •Alarm data auto acquisition function SoftGOT automatically acquires the alarm data of GOT. Alarms that are already restored before connecting to SoftGOT can also be viewed. In both functions, the data stored in SoftGOT will be updated every time the SoftGOT is started up. Data Auto Acquisition Function •Operating authority Either one of SoftGOT or GOT can be operable to prevent the simultaneous operation from both sides that may cause unexpected behaviors. •Operating authority (only GOT side)  A mode to make only GOT operable. Until this mode is cancelled on a GOT, SoftGOT is not operable. Operation Interlock

6 Operation Interlock – Operating Authority
Interlock operations with SoftGOT and GOT to prevent simultaneous operation on both sides. Worksite Office Operation interlock GT15/ GT16 SoftGOT × Not operable (without operating authority) Operable (with operating authority) QPLC Move operating authority Operation is prohibited on the GOT that had operating authority before. Obtain operating authority on the operating authority acquisition screen × Not operable (no operating authority) Operable (with operating authority)

7 Operation Interlock – Operating Authority
Provides a mode to operate PLC only by GOT to prevent the operating authority from being moved to SoftGOT. If operating authority is enabled… Worksite Office Operation interlock GT15/ GT16 SoftGOT × Operable Not operable QPLC Not operable until GOT cancels the operating authority priority SoftGOT cannot enable/cancel the operating authority priority The operating authority can be enabled/cancelled only on the GOT side by using switches or utility functions on the GOT.

11 GT Designer 3 Project Settings
Decide how to use the SoftGOT: GOT and SoftGOT should always show the same screen: Use PLC Register (D) as Screen switching device! SoftGOT should act as separate HMI showing different screens as GOT: Use GOT Register (GD) as Screen switching device!
