8  Structure ◦ Cat A – Car Share ◦ Cat A – Disabled ◦ Cat A - Departmental ◦ Cat B - Preferential ◦ Cat C – Standard (Licence to hunt) ◦ All vehicles must display a permit, and coupon if necessary  Charging policy ◦ Daily charge of 0.008% of annual salary  Charged monthly or by daily parking coupon ◦ Departmental - £705.50 per academic year ◦ Disabled – free ◦ Visitors - £2.50 ½ day ◦ Car sharers – charge collected from the lowest salaried member of team ◦ One off annual permit cost - £15.00 Note: all permits are renewed on an annual basis, with the exception of some disabled permits.

11 UoB Policy  Parking available to staff that live at a distance of 2+ miles from the University.  Staff must work more than three days a week (minimum 22 hours a week)  Car share teams must have a minimum of two members. Incentives per team  Guaranteed parking space  Guaranteed ride home  10 additional free days of parking  The parking charge will be taken from the lowest salaried member of staff UWE Policy  Only requirement is to have a passenger in the car when it is being parked.  Parking available to all students and staff. Incentives to both Uni’s  Easy-to-operate and understand system.  Share cost of parking.  2+ lanes to save time and money.

18  Have the spaces where they can be monitored  Only issue permits to those that are in a ‘BUDi team’ which then allow members to park in the dedicated spaces  If the spaces are misused remove the privilege – 3 strikes and you are out/clamp those that persistently abuse the spaces but ensure your policy is available to view on the intranet with all other car-sharing information

21  Dedicated car-sharing bays  Guaranteed ride home scheme  Monthly prize draws for carwashes, vouchers for canteen, printing vouchers for students  Gifts when joining or setting up a BUDi team such as air fresheners, key rings, chocolate, etc The rewards don’t have to be car parking related.
