4. Biotic Factors….It’s Alive!!!  Producers-Produce their own energy.  Consumers-Must consume something else

5. Type of Consumers:  Primary consumers – herbivore  Secondary Consumers - Carnivores which eat herbivores  Tertiary Consumers – carnivores that eat other carnivores.  Quaternary Consumers – eat tertiary, could possibly be a top predator.

6. Don’t forget the Decomposers! Decomposers break down dead plants, animals and waste. They are SUPER important!!!!

8. So an Ecosystem is….. a system formed by the interaction of a community of organisms with their environment. It includes ALL factors living and not living.
