10 BRIDGE: HAM-275-1070R HAM-275-1070R Costs, MOT, and impacts Total Bridge Costs: $6 Million (8 structures) Lane closures will be in accordance with PLCM, except for bridge work Original scope bridge work – Abutment replacement; 90 day part- width closure; excessive queue. MOTEC, OSE, District, OGE- Benefit to not replace abutment worth Risk. Revised scope bridge work – 2 MOT options 7 day part-width closure PRO’s = Reasonable Cure times, better end product. Not reconstructing abutment saves $230,000 CONS’s = 12 mile queue. Multiple weekend part-width closures; queue is within threshold limits PRO’s = Queue is within threshold or very close to threshold limits. CON’s = Accelerated Construction and reduced Cure, cracking and shorter service life is at risk. Not reconstructing abutment only saves $130,000 District Choice – Weekend closures maintaining one 11’ lane
