2  Themes: Critiques of society and death (suicide)  Gravedigger as as “clown”  Conversation between Gravedigger and Other  What are they disputing?  What do they think is the reason for Ophelia’s Christian burial? (5.1.24-26)  Meaning of “arms” (5.1.30-40)  Hamlet is offended by the Gravedigger’s singing (5.1.70) and is very bothered by the skulls and laments their irony (politician, courtier, lawyer, Yorick)  Hamlet and Laertes fight in Ophelia’s grave.
