I n t e g r i t y - S e r v i c e - E x c e l l e n c e Crossing Intersections When road is clear, FLT/CC will move to the middle of the road, and place their arms up to stop traffic. Note that the FLT/CC will not be in the way of the flight.

I n t e g r i t y - S e r v i c e - E x c e l l e n c e Crossing Intersections Once any traffic has stopped, the FLT/CC will bring their arms down and execute an About Face.

I n t e g r i t y - S e r v i c e - E x c e l l e n c e Crossing Intersections “2 (3 or 4, depending on the number of lanes of traffic) road guards out.” The front road guards will move to the oncoming traffic lanes, leaving room for the flight to pass by and the FLT/CC clear.

I n t e g r i t y - S e r v i c e - E x c e l l e n c e Crossing Intersections After the road guards are in place, they will execute a facing movement towards oncoming traffic, and move to a modified position of parade rest with their right hand palm out. (If they have flashlights, they will point them downward)

I n t e g r i t y - S e r v i c e - E x c e l l e n c e Crossing Intersections FLT/CC: “Forward, March.”

I n t e g r i t y - S e r v i c e - E x c e l l e n c e Crossing Intersections Upon the command of “Forward, March” the rear Road Guards will immediately move to the position behind the front Road Guards.

I n t e g r i t y - S e r v i c e - E x c e l l e n c e Crossing Intersections Execute facing movement, tap the shoulder once. Front Road Guards will then come to attention.

I n t e g r i t y - S e r v i c e - E x c e l l e n c e Crossing Intersections Front Road Guards will execute a facing movement, and move back to their position 6 paces in front of the flight.

I n t e g r i t y - S e r v i c e - E x c e l l e n c e Crossing Intersections Front Road Guards will execute a facing movement, and move back to their position 6 paces in front of the flight.

I n t e g r i t y - S e r v i c e - E x c e l l e n c e Crossing Intersections Rear Road Guards will take a step forward, move into modified position of parade rest.

I n t e g r i t y - S e r v i c e - E x c e l l e n c e Crossing Intersections As the front rank passes the FLT/CC, the FLT/CC will execute a facing movement towards the flight.

I n t e g r i t y - S e r v i c e - E x c e l l e n c e Crossing Intersections As the front rank passes the FLT/CC, the FLT/CC will execute a facing movement towards the flight.

I n t e g r i t y - S e r v i c e - E x c e l l e n c e Crossing Intersections As the last rank passes the FLT/CC, the FLT/CC will execute another facing movement, facing the same direction as the flight.

I n t e g r i t y - S e r v i c e - E x c e l l e n c e Crossing Intersections As the last rank passes the FLT/CC, the FLT/CC will execute another facing movement, facing the same direction as the flight.

I n t e g r i t y - S e r v i c e - E x c e l l e n c e Crossing Intersections Once the flight has cleared the road, with room for the rear road guards. The FLT/CC will command “Flight, Halt” and “Cover.”

Simultaneously, the FLT/CC will be exiting the road and resuming his/her position in the flight. Note: Never leave the road guards in the road.

I n t e g r i t y - S e r v i c e - E x c e l l e n c e Crossing Intersections Road guards will resume their position 6 paces to the rear of the flight. Simultaneously, the FLT/CC will be exiting the road and upon exiting the road will signal traffic to continue.

I n t e g r i t y - S e r v i c e - E x c e l l e n c e Crossing Intersections The FLT/CC will then resume his/her position in the flight.

I n t e g r i t y - S e r v i c e - E x c e l l e n c e Crossing Intersections If coming to an intersection where more than 2 road guards are needed, the FLT/CC will command, “1 (or 2) road guard(s) to the front.”

I n t e g r i t y - S e r v i c e - E x c e l l e n c e Crossing Intersections The road guard(s) to the rear will post one arm length behind the front road guards prior to the intersection.

I n t e g r i t y - S e r v i c e - E x c e l l e n c e Group or Squadron Formations Lead flight will send out the initial road guards. As other flights pass, their road guards will tap out the preceding flight’s road guards. Tapping out another flight, but not in a formation with them FLT/CC will ask the other FLT/CC (flight in the road) for permission to tap out their road guards. If granted, road guards and FLT/CC will tap out other road guards and FLT/CC. (FLT/CC will be the first in the road even in this formation) No more than 3 individual flights, or one squadron, will cross intersections at one time when one or more vehicles are waiting.
