2. The Profound photographer Charles O’Rear was born in Butler, Missouri. O’Rear first began as a young photographer at the age of 10, using one of the older camera models titled the Brownie Box. His first job as a Photographer was for his neighborhood paper The Butler Daily Democrat. At the age of 25 O’Rear later moved to Los Angeles, California to join the Los Angeles Times Photography team. After working with Los Angeles Times for only Five years, Charles was offered a job as a photographer for National Geographic, his job consisted of documenting the life of Russian Villagers in Alaska.

3. After completing his work in Alaska, Mr. O’Rear was later sent to Napa Valley by National Geographic to photograph the wine region that Napa has. His work was one of the causes for Napa’s wine industry’s growth and popularity. The vineyards were shown through his images that he produced through National Geographic. His next project was set in Indonesia, where he was sent with 500 Rolls of film, then he returned with approximately 15,000 Images. O’Rear has photographed in 30 different countries and in every single State in America. His association with National Geographic lasted for about 25 Years and he appeared on the cover of the Magazine twice throughout his career.
