5 Web Site Development  Grades 10-12, One Semester  Earn technical college credit in Grades 11-12 (transcripted through NTC)  Multimedia/Hypermedia overview and related careers  Optimizing images for the web  Web page coding with HTML5  Creating Cascading Style Sheets with CSS3  Web site design projects – Small Business Product Page, Amateur Photographer Site, Rural Farm Site, Cycling Club Site, Radio Program Schedule, Survey Form Develop web coding skills!

6 IT Essentials  Grades 10-12, One Semester  Sponsored by Cisco Networking Academy  In-depth exposure to hardware and operating systems  Maintenance and safety issues  Assemble and configure old and new computers through hands-on activities  Install operating systems and software  Troubleshoot hardware and software problems  Introduction to networking  Preparation for CompTIA’s A+ certification  Good background if planning to take Cisco Networking courses

7 Introduction to Computer Programming  Grades 10-12, One Semester  Earn technical college credit in Grades 11-12 (transcripted through NTC)  Introduction to computer programming through HTML and the Javascript scripting language  Program design, coding, editing, testing, and debugging through hands-on experiences  Programming languages as a development tool  Good background if planning to pursue a career in computer programming and/or web design

8 Game Simulation & Animation Programming  Grades 10-12, One Semester  Introduction to game and simulation development  Careers in Game Programming  Access to Microsoft DreamSpark programming development site  Introduction to GameMaker, a free object-oriented programming tool  Work with Visual Basic/Visual Studio.net programming language syntax as it relates to game programming techniques  Simulation concepts using Alice, a free object-oriented programming tool

9 Flash Animation  Grades 10-12, One Semester  Online course through Aventa Learning  Independent, self-paced learning  Create animations and interactive movies using Flash CS3  Create interactive movies for the web  An introduction to the world of web animation

10 CISCO Networking Academies I through IV All CISCO courses are available as independent study by request and instructor consent CISCO I  Grades 10-12, Prerequisite: Algebra II  OSI model and industry standards  Network topologies  IP addressing (subnet masks)  Networking components and basic network design CISCO II  Grades 10-12, Prerequisite: CISCO I  Beginning router configurations and protocols

20 DECA: Association of Marketing Students All students who are interested in any marketing or business career may join DECA (An Association of Marketing Students). Community service, fund raisers, social activities, and competitions make this organization worthwhile for business and marketing students.

21 Future Business Leaders of America All students who are interested in business and /or enrolled in business classes may join the Future Business Leaders of America, a national organization for students interested in pursuing a business career. Competition in a wide variety of skill events, fund raisers, conferences, tours, and other local activities make this a worthwhile organization for business students.
