2 NASAL Nasal- stems from a lazy soft pallet

3 HARSH Harsh- constricting the throat muscles

4 BREATHY Breathy- failure to bring the vocal chords together completely

5 HOARSE Hoarse- a combination of harsh and breathy

6 PROJECT Project- to fill the space with your voice

7 ARTICULATE Articulate- to pronounce, enunciate, and put endings onto words

8 INFLECTIONS Inflections- variety in speech

9 PITCH Pitch- how high or low your voice sounds

10 RATE Rate- how fast or slow your voice sounds *Rate & Pitch are the two qualities most closely related

11 RESONANCE Resonance- deep vibrating tone of your voice

12 DIAPHRAGM Diaphragm- the muscle just below the ribcage that aids in proper breath support, and proper speech
