Airport systems

RADIOCOMMUNICATION RADIONAVIGATION RADAR LIGHTING ENERGY CAT I-III
METEOROLOGICAL DATA Autor: Ing. Lubomír Berkovec

1. RADIOCOMMUNICATION Receiver Antena Transmitter Station (device) Source (el.power, alternative ) Mobile radios

2. RADIONAVIGATION VOR (VHF omnidirectional radio renge) DME ( distance measuring equipment) NDB ( non directional beacon) ILS (instrument landing system) MLS (Micro Wave Landing System), GLS-GPS Landing System

3. RADAR TAR (terminal approach radar) ASR (airport surveillance radar) PAR (precision approach radar) SMR (surface movement radar) Primary surveillance radar (PSR) Secondary surveillence radar (SSR) meteo (satelite)

4. LIGHTING ALS (approach lighting system) RLS (runway lighting system) TLS (taxiway lighting systém) OL (obstacle light)

5. ENERGY Must be supplied from two independent sources: Back up /standby power UPS Back up lines of power /Lights/-/Radars/-/ATC unit/

6. CAT I-III Divided by categories: ILS/ALS/LVP ILS ICAO – ILS/RWY/ALS ALS ICAO- brightness, tilt, luminosity, etc. RWY PCN

7. METEOROLOGICAL AMIS (Automated Meteorological Information System), at the airport LKPR used for: receiving, processing, interpretation, creation, distribution and archiving of aeronautical meteorological information, including flight documentation On LKPR system is used MIDAS IV AWOS (Automated airport observation system) Vaisala (Finland) designed for measurement of RVR and cloud base, direction and wind speed, temperature and dew point temperature and air pressure. AWOS system provides said data to the monitoring system AMS-1 for flights of low visibility.

CONCLUSION NEW GUIDENCE SYSTEMS
presents new opportunities for realization of new requirements in the future Controll safety in the movement areas Route planing, quidance, timing, survey New tools for ATC (screens) Airports to which A-SMGCS today tested and gradually introduced into practice is relatively little (a lot of many)
