2 Objectives: Identify the steps for starting, pausing and stopping the session recorder Identify the visual and auditory indicator that a session is being recorded Utilize the recording reminder Recording

3 Materials License Session Recording Session setting – enabled when session is created Moderator only Start recording - Pause recording at any time Recording in progress – visual Recording reminder – participants will hear a verbal cue when the recording is started.

4 You can pause anytime during the session. When you click on the Record button to stop, you will receive this pop up message: You will also get a verbal cue that the recording has stopped. Erasing a Recording From the Tools menu, select Recorder>Erase Recording Stop/Pause a Recording

5 Allow the system to load –The orange line at the bottom of the screen indicates how much is downloaded. It will need to go to the end of the bar to fully load. –As it loads – this message appears at the bottom left corner : –Index sections are automatically created during the recording to mark significant events. For example: App Share started Viewing an Archive

6 This must be done during the session From Tools>Recorder>Add Index Entry This is to mark a spot not automatically indexed. –Automatic index markers include – changing pages, changing modes or such things as starting/stopping Application Share Adding an Index Entry

7 Once the archive is loaded, click on the button to start the archive. To pause the archive press the pause button, not the indicator button Viewing an Archive Indicator button

8 Indexed parts of the recording By moving the indicator, you can navigate to the indexed markings, which will display what is occurring. In order for the audio to catch up you will see this message pop up. Click yes. Viewing Index Recordings

9 You can access the Recording Index in two ways: –1. from the lower left hand corner, click the Expand/Collapse button to show the indexes: –2. from the Playback menu on the Toolbar, select Show Recording Index The Recording Index will open and you can select your item to view: Viewing Indexed Recordings

10 The Moderator/Instructor can also manually add Indexed Entries during the recording: Adding Index Entries Click on Tools>Recorder>Add Index Entry A pop up box comes up asking you to Enter description to identify the index entry. Click OK
