Hardware Requirements 2 Windows XP Professional Office XP and above CPU: Pentium 4, 2.4 GHz Memory: 512MB and above Network: Ethernet Microphone Web-Cam or Digital Camera If video source is analog eg. Composite video, an additional hardware capture card is required.

Before plugging your USB webcam or digital video cam, refer to your camera user manual for proper installation of video driver. After successful installation, plug in the camera and the PC will detect and run its associated driver software automatically. Download amcap.zip and extract to desktop. Open the AM amcap program to check the existence of video source.amcap.zip Important:- You MUST close the amcap program after verifying the camera is working properly. Install Digital Camera using the firewire cable. The PC will detect the new hardware and install the driver software automatically. Download amcap.zip and extract to desktop. Common Video Problems 5 Web/Digital camera driver not installed, i.e. Most USB plug-ins require to install proprietary driver before it can work properly. Loose connection esp. firewire connection Wrong selection of camera source for video capture card that has multiple inputs Wrong selection of video standard e.g. PAL, NTSC,SECAM Other video utility program eg. Amcap is running in the background.

Check Mic Source Install Mic source using the audio cable. Open the Sound Recorder Click Record button and speak at your comfortable level. Stop recording and playback to check. Check any loose mic connection if no audio is recorded before proceeding to next step. 6 Typical mic level Good No connection or muted mic Bad Oversaturated mic level Bad

Adjusting Mic gain 7 Open the Volume Control. Click Option and select Properties Select Recording and ensure the Microphone box is checked. Click OK. Click Advanced button to turn the MIC boost on/off as required. Adjust mic level and repeat the recording again as shown in the previous slide. Close all the programs after Mic level is stabilized.
