Repetition Poem Brainstorming Think of a specific time of day or night. It could be midnight, noon, sunrise, sunset, etc. What happens during that time of day? Brainstorm a list. Think of what animals are doing, you’re doing, and nature is doing.
2
Repetition Poem Create a poem of stanzas, 10 lines each. In each stanza, tell what happens one minute after the specific time you brainstormed. (“One minute after midnight…”, “One minute after sunrise…”, “One minute after noon…”, etc.)
3
Repetition Poem Your poem should be formatted like the following example: One minute after midnight black is the dominant color. One minute after midnight spiders spin webs of dreams. One minute after midnight owls hoot and haunt thick forests. One minute after midnight stars begin to people-gaze. One minute after midnight Words dance in books while authors sleep. This is one stanza of your poem. Notice the repetition and end punctuation. Your poem must have personification, alliteration, and an onomatopoeia.
