Why is 8 so Great? WORK for 8 hours Class, independent study time, tutoring, study groups, meeting with instructors, planning PLAY for 8 hours Exercise, TV, games, social activities, meetings, meals, shopping, daily living activities SLEEP for 8 hours 11 pm – 7 am or Midnight – 8am or 1am – 9am 8 x 3 = 24 hours or 1 day Rule of 8 establishes balance which improves attention, processing, and memory, and reduces anxiety and procrastination.
