EDUCATIONAL GOALS Develop Project Management Skills Leadership, planning, business-related Exposure to Multi-Disciplinary Teams Electrical, mechanical, marine, business Exposure to Solar Energy Application Panels, batteries, motors, controls Develop Systems Integration Outlook Design, construction, testing, funding Provide International Education Experience Promoting collaboration, diversity and gaining life learning skills that are essential to engineering/technology program goals

COMPETITION FORMAT ( 5 DAY EVENT: Wed – Sun ) ENGINEERING DESIGN ( 150 points ): Design report submitted (~May 1 st ) Poster presentation Workmanship BOAT COMPETITIONS ( 850 points ): Qualifying: Maneuverability & Sprint Slalom Sprint ( 300 meters) Endurance ( 2 times 2 hours)

COMPETITION “Happenings” ( 5 DAY EVENT: Wed – Sun ) WEDNESDAY - register, begin technical inspection, attend Opening Reception. THURSDAY – continue Tech Inspections and run Qualifying Events FRIDAY – run Slalom Race and 300-meter Sprint Heats SATURDAY – run 4-hour Endurance Event SUNDAY – run Final Sprint Events and attend Awards Ceremony
