5 What Makes A Successful Volunteer Program: Vision… Every organization needs a vision and purpose for their volunteer program. Outgoing… Staff need to be exciting and outgoing about utilizing volunteers. Listening… Staff need to be effective listeners to volunteers needs. Useful…. Volunteers need to feel like their time is useful. Nurtured… Volunteers need nurturing and support from staff members.
