14. 11/17/2008November Fabric Baskets & Show 'N Tell Dorothyann Nelsen showed us how to easily make fabric coiled baskets or bowls. She used a pattern from the Mar/Apr 2007 issue of Fons & Porter’s Love of Quilting. Begin with a package of cotton clothesline, a snap-type clothespin, 1-inch wide fabric strips, open-toe presser foot, and a size 100/16 sewing machine needle. You can make baskets, hot pads or trivets, coasters, and even put handles on your bowls.
