Like Station Adoption, but outside the station lease Environments can be very different from stations Gardens, wildlife, wild flowers, clearing litter, murals, painting…… Governed by ‘community licence’ Licence held by station friends, residents, Council, Groundwork Trust, ‘In Bloom’ etc etc

3. Station Adoption or Community Scheme? Red is Station Lease, managed by the Train Operator, so Station Adoption Green is Network Rail directly-managed land, so Community Scheme

4. The story so far…. Started 4 years ago - first Long-Term Scheme Oct 2008 We developed it for activities that don’t need a lease 66 ‘Long-Term’ Schemes in place now 30 ‘One-Off’ days 700+ volunteers so far 35 proposals in various stages of development Here are a few examples…………….
