Chartered under the laws of the State of Illinois to represent the common interests of all faculty in the public community colleges of Illinois, the ICCFA promotes teaching and learning excellence, professional development, provides a faculty presence on the ICCB and informs faculty of issues which affect community colleges.

All faculty members at Illinois community colleges are members of the ICCFA, a not-for-profit organization chartered under the laws of the State of Illinois. The ICCFA represents the common interests of the faculties in Illinois community colleges and is the voice of these faculty.

www.iccfa.org 2011 ICCFA Conference Teaching/Learning Excellence Scholarships & Grants For the 2011-2012 academic year, six scholarships are being awarded to outstanding full time Illinois community college students. Funding to support two research grants and two workshops was awarded to outstanding faculty applicants. www.iccfa.org 2011 ICCFA Conference Teaching & Learning Excellence Annual Conference ICCFA co-sponsors the annual Teaching & Learning Excellence Conference, held in October in Springfield, Illinois. Conference co-sponsors include the ICCB, the Illinois Council of Community College Presidents and the Illinois Community College Trustees Association.

www.iccfa.org 2011 ICCFA Conference Communication and Outreach Faculty are invited to participate in the ICCFA. Go to the ICCFA website at www.iccfa.org for information about statewide issues as well as conferences, meetings, and workshops. www.iccfa.org ICCFA is looking for faculty interested in an active leadership role on the ICCFA Board. www.iccfa.org 2011 ICCFA Conference Legislative Affairs In each Illinois congressional term, higher education proposed legislation impacts community college teaching and learning. ICCFA Board members are active on a variety of committees and subcommittees studying such legislation and its effects. The Vice-President for Legislative and Governing Affairs informs members of the status of proposed or pending bills.
