2. Safety first Don’t share your personal info online ▫Examples -- full name, address, telephone number, school address, or names of family or friends. Protect your privacy Never arrange a face-to-face meeting with someone you meet online. Never open files from unknown senders. Always report to a teacher any inappropriate sites.

3. PROHIBITED USES: Accessing, sending, creating or posting material or communication that is: ▫Damaging; Abusive; Obscene, lewd, profane, offensive, indecent, sexually explicit, or pornographic; ▫Threatening or demeaning to another person; or ▫Contrary to the District’s Rules on harassment and/or bullying.

4. Using Email Use for school assignments only. Do not use e-mail to distribute inappropriate material. Do not send anonymous e-mail. Do not harass others through e-mail.

5. Copyright law Be careful what you use on the Internet. Consider that most everything is protected under Copyright law. ▫Don’t download or upload files that might cause copyright infringement; or ▫Install, use, store, distribute or transmit unauthorized copyrighted or trademarked materials.
