BC’s Labour Market Outlook 2 1 Million total job openings expected An additional 100,000 jobs expected from LNG activity Major Projects will generate up to 1/3 of job openings To 2022

Labour Market Drivers 3 Provincial economic growth accounts for 1/3 of job openings Major natural resource projects planned throughout BC Major Projects Retirements Strong employment in mining and oil & gas is expected in northern BC 65% of all job openings will be in Lower Mainland/Southwest Workers from the Lower Mainland/ Southwest will be needed for jobs in the north 2/3 of job openings will arrive through anticipated attrition Aging workforce presents a looming gap in labour pool
