Phil. 10-14

Penitence  Often accompanying the feeling of guilt – Matt. 26:75  But not always! – Rom. 14:14-15  This is when having the right attitude is hardest: when we know we are wrong, but do not feel we are wrong  Yet to preserve peace & unity we must submit

Asking Forgiveness  Because your worship is hindered without it – Matt. 5:23-24  This requires a spirit of humility – Phil. 2:3-5  Much easier to say than to do  But consider what you are sacrificing over a disagreement – Eph. 2:19-21

Renewed Appreciation  For the church – Acts 2:44-47  Where else could we find the acceptance and blessings Christ has to offer?  And also for a single brother or sister – 2 Tim. 1:1-4  Such compassion only abounds when no obstacles come between brethren

Conclusion It is easy to feel right in what we do. Nevertheless, every one of us knows what it is to be the party in error. And in such times we must humble ourselves and seek for peace, even if it means paying a price.
