Showing God’s LoveShowing God’s Love God loves all people We should be affirming God’s love for all people (1 Tim. 2:3-4) Jesus’ love for all people was genuine and real (Eph. 5:1-2) We, like Jesus, must love those who need God’s love

Extending God’s GraceExtending God’s Grace John 4:10, 13-15 Jesus’ main purpose was not to condemn the woman, but to spread the gospel and save a soul “We should not focus on trying to reform people from the outside in, but rather sharing the life changing gospel, which reforms people from the inside out” ~ Mark Mittleberg “We should not focus on trying to reform people from the outside in, but rather sharing the life changing gospel, which reforms people from the inside out” ~ Mark Mittleberg

Telling the Truth in LoveTelling the Truth in Love “ You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination. ” ~ Lev. 18:22 “If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them. ” ~ Lev. 20:13 We don’t want to condemn anybody, but instead share God’s truth and let the gospel light the path to righteousness.

Telling the Truth in LoveTelling the Truth in Love We don’t want to condemn anybody, but instead share God’s truth and let the gospel light the path to righteousness. Jesus took sexual purity very seriously Rom. 1:24-28 - Homosexuals were not born this way 1 Cor. 6:9-11 - they will not inherit the kingdom of God. 1 Tim. 1:8-11 - homosexuality is a sin, just like murder, traders, liars, etc.

Temptation Is Not SinTemptation Is Not Sin If Jesus was tempted, and temptation is sin…then how did Jesus not sin? The problem is not with homosexual desire (per se), but with homosexual behavior We all have temptations. Jesus wants to help People can change

Questions to ConsiderQuestions to Consider Are we making this church a place where people from all lifestyles can come to find Jesus? Are we judging and condemning before we teach and save? Are we turning people off from coming to church because of the comments we make and the questions we ask?

Approving of people’s sin makes us equally as guilty Making excuses for friends and family members won’t win a soul “who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.” ~ Rom. 1:32
