7. Tickets You are now responsible for all of your driving tickets as well as carrying insurance. Not having insurance is a violation of the law. Additionally, you are personally responsible for any accidents you are involved in and can be sued in your own name.

12. Drugs Possession of drugs is a felony charge. These drugs can include marijuana, LSD, heroin, cocaine, barbiturates, steroids, and some prescription medications. The first offense is usually referral to a treatment program. The maximum penalty is up to a $50,000 fine and five years in prison. If under the age of 21, your license can be suspended for up to one year.

13. Sex Consequences for sex with a minor are severe, even if the sex is with consent. Statutory rape will require to to register as a sex offender. It can carry fines and prison time.

14. Pregnancy Males who get females pregnant can be required to pay child support until the child is 18. This law applies even if you don’t want the child, or even if the girl lied about protection.

17. Hunting If you are going to hunt, you need a hunting license, plus a certificate of competence regarding “hunting safety.”
