Today you will learn to punctuate a sentence with a comma series and recognize this type of sentence in text. Comma Rule- Use commas to separate a series of three or more things, actions, or phrases. Commas in a series separate items or actions so the reader can identify each intended item. The idea of balance or parallelism is particularly important to the craft of making good lists: Nouns go with nouns, verbs with verbs, and adverbs with adverbs. He orders a sandwich, eats it, then draws a gun and fires two shots in the air. “Why?” asks the confused waiter, as the panda makes towards the exit. The panda produces a badly punctuated wildlife manual and tosses it over his shoulder. “I’m a panda,” he says at the door. “Look it up.” The waiter turns to the relevant entry and, sure enough, finds an explanation. “Panda.
