2 Introduction The Airbus A380, developed by a group of engineers led by Jean Roeder, is the largest passenger plane in the world.Airbus A380 The megaproject to plan an ultra-high- capacity airliner was announced in 1990, and fifteen years planning, development and testing resulted in the first completed A380. Since then more than 202 A380s have been ordered, out of which 26 have been already delivered to the airline companies all over the world. 2
