Japan’s Aggression Japan wanted a larger empire. The United States protested Japan’s aggressive policy. Japan sent Saburo Kursu to make peace with the United States, while they were planning an attack.

American Women’s Contribution to the War In 1939 fifteen percent of America’s work force were women. They produced durable goods for the war. As more men left for war, more women left the houses and entered the work force.

The Japanese-Americans America thought Japanese-Americans would become spies for the Japanese. Japanese-Americans were sent to camps all around the country. Half A billion dollars in assets were taken by the government from the Japanese-Americans; only 10% were returned.
