11. Breakers beach restaurant in Holland facing North Sea
A prime example of a project that encounters 4 season. You have sun, rain, wind, sand and salt. But having viewed this project twice myself the sikkens coated Accoya is performing really well and outperforming other materials.

12. 64 luxury apartments in North London clad with yellow
This is a UK project that we visited on the conference in the banana yellow coated Accoya cladding is performing very well. The corner joints show the enhanced stability of Accoya as the corners are still stable with no movement or distortion.

19. Dunsmore House is a two storey platform frame in the Scottish
Dunsmore House is a two storey platform frame in the Scottish Highlands supported on just eight shallow pad foundations. Concrete posts project from the pads to support the ground beams. In order to minimise the embodied carbon the ground beams, like the frame, were constructed from timber. The ground beams are well protected from the rain and so the risk of permanent wetting leading to decay is relatively low. However, there was a concern that seasonal shrinking and swelling of the timber ground beams might affect the level of the house. Thanks to its stability, Accoya® offered the ideal solution. A test programme was developed to determine the structural properties of the Accoya® and much of that data has helped inform the data in this guide.

31. Award winning Moses bridge in Holland.
The visible wood is Accoya. It has a hardwood deck, which will need replacing. The accoya is used where the performance is needed. If it rains there is a water pump to get rid of the excess water. In the winter they flood the bridge so it becomes invisible. Then it freezes and the locals ice skate over the top of it.

My favourite project. Its surrounded by water on 3 sides. The water can rise by 1.4m and not affect the house. The house is an eco-house and recently won a RIBA award for project of the year in east anglia. The decking, cladding and structural beams are accoya.
