2 The sun gives us both heat and light.

3 The sun’s heat makes Earth the perfect place to live.

4 The light from the sun will heat up any surface it hits.

5 When the sun’s rays are blocked we call it shade. Shade is always cooler than sunlight.

7 This is a terrarium. The light bulb acts like the sun. It provides heat and energy.
