Elementary Programs Magnet Acceleration Location: Kolb Elementary Grades 1-5 This program is designed to meet the needs of those students who need academic acceleration. Grade Level Above Math and English Language Arts Grade Level Enrichment in Science and Social Studies

Elementary Programs Cluster Enrichment This program is designed to meet the needs of those students who perform above their grade level peers in one or more academic areas. Enrichment in Math, English Language Arts, Science and Social Studies Pace of content may be covered at a quicker rate but not at a grade level above. The Enrichment Program is available in five locations across the district.

What is an IQ test? Our test administrators will use a verbal and a non- verbal (problem solving) subtest. - = IQ 100 means that the brain age and the actual age are the same. That is, a 5 year old has a mental age of 5.

Achievement Testing Kindergarten and First Grade Students Terra Nova Testing @ Kolb Elementary March 7 th or March 14th Grade 1 through Grade 4 Students District Benchmark and State Testing will be gathered on their behalf.

Parent Behaviors and Characteristics Survey You will be asked to rate your child on a scale of 1 to 9. Intellectual Academic Creative Leadership Artistic Then share two instances that you and another have witnessed academic talent.

Teacher Behaviors and Characteristics Survey The Teacher will be asked to rate your child on a scale of 1 to 9. Intellectual Academic Creative Leadership Artistic Then rate their academic level in the classroom. They are also asked to share any information that they believe will help the GT office make an appropriate academic recommendation.

Evaluation Profile Aptitude Testing—IQ Achievement Testing Teacher Observations and Ratings Gifted and Talented Evaluation Scales Parent Gifted and Talented Evaluation Scales Teacher The goal of the profile is to gain as much information about your child as we can to make the best academic recommendation.
