RibberFest Art Show Wabash County Museum Uptown Mt. Carmel, Illinois April 24 – 25, 2015 Friday 11-8 & Saturday 11-8 The 2015 RibberFest Art Show will be on display at the Wabash County Museum at 320 N. Market as a part of the 16 th Annual Wabash RibberFest BBQ Championship. This event will give local artists of all ages and abilities the chance to share their work with the community. There are three divisions: adults (age 19 & up), high school students and children (8 th gr & under). Judges will award ribbons to the top three winners in each category. The public can vote on People’s Choice Awards during the show. Winners will be announced Saturday, April 25 between 6:00 - 6:30pm on the Main Stage. Art Show Information and Guidelines: 1. There are no fees for submitting art to the RibberFest Art Show. This is an exhibition only. 2. Each participant is allowed to enter a total of three items. Entries may be from one or more categories. 3. ENTRY FORM (See Below): Each piece of artwork must have a separate entry form. All forms must be completely filled out and attached to the back of the artwork. Copies can be made of this sheet. Forms will be available at the Wabash County Museum and on the www.ribberfest.com website. If selling your work, please list selling price.www.ribberfest.com 4. All two-dimensional artwork (drawings, paintings, or photography, etc.) must be framed or matted and ready to hang. All sculptures must be no taller than eight feet and be able to fit through a standard size doorway. Display spaces will include tables, partition walls and enclosed display cases for smaller works, like jewelry. 5. Artists will be allowed to sell their work if a price is listed on the entry form. The Art Show Committee will not sell any works of art during the show, but will provide the potential buyer with your phone number. The buyer must contact you directly for the sale. Your phone number will not be on display during the show, but is mandatory for all entries. 6. All entries must be original work by the Artist. The RibberFest Art Show reserves the right to refuse any artwork. Any artwork that is deemed plagiarized, sexually explicit, highly graphic or inappropriate in any way will not be permitted. The Art Show Chairman is the final judge of what is permissible. 7. The RibberFest Art Show does not provide insurance coverage. The Art Show Staff will do all they can to prevent theft and/or damage to artwork during the show, but will not be held responsible. The museum will be locked overnight. 8. All entrants are responsible for submitting and picking up their own works of art. The Wabash County Museum will be open for dropping off the artwork Sunday, April 19 th from 2-5pm and Tuesday, April 21nd from 2-7pm. No entries will be accepted after this time. All artwork must remain on display till 7pm Saturday, April 25 and can be picked up from 7 – 8pm Saturday or during regular museum hours on Sunday, April 26 th from 2-5pm. 9. Judging will take place before the show is open to the public. The judge and/or judge’s comments will be available during the show for any interested entrants.
