the futur simple We can pair a conjugated form of aller with any other infinitive form of a verb to express “going to do x”. For example: Je vais chanter.“I am going (je vais) to sing (chanter).” Nous allons manger.“We are going to eat.” Ils vont jouer au basket.“They are going to play basketball.” Vous allez regarder la télé.“You (pl) are going to watch TV.”

to like to do; to prefer to do We can pair a conjugated form of aimer or préférer with any other infinitive form of a verb to express “to like to do x” or “to prefer to do x”. For example: J’aime chanter.“I love to sing.” Nous préférons jouer au jeux videos. “We prefer to play video games.” Ils aiment jouer au basket. “They love to play basketball.”
