Globally, circumstances differ - solutions should be situation specific but we need more information that should be generated through debate, research and investment to develop for example, lifecycle analysis methods, sustainability indicators, biofuel alternatives, etc Water, as land, is a limiting factor but is needed for both food AND fuel. The farmer will make the decision regarding the crop based on market conditions and product demand.
