Grooming Standards for Males
Hair standards Must be clean, well groomed, no excessive grooming aids, or foreign items Dye should look natural Hair will not touch eyebrows or be visible below the front of your cap Hair must have tapered appearance, block cut, shaved or high and tight Will not exceed 1 1/4 inches in bulk

USAF PT Uniform . Spandex. Headgear Gloves.. Scarf and earmuffs. Do not mix/match the current PTU with future authorized jacket and pants. The lining in the PTU shorts may be removed. USAF PT Uniform . Headphones and earphones (IPODS) All personal grooming standards apply while participating in physical fitness activities with one exception: long female hair will be secured but may have loose ends; body art (tattoos) and jewelry standards apply. Proper military customs and courtesies honoring the flag during reveille/retreat will apply. Saluting due to rank recognition is not required. Exceptions: For accessions, PME and academic training environments (e.g. USAFA,ROTC, OTS, ASBC, SOS, BMT), commanders (or equivalent) will determine which PT events are organized.
