2. WARM UP: On your whiteboards find the following… Find the following probabilities: 1.A bag contains 10 black marbles, 20 white marbles, and 5 grey marbles. What is the probability of picking a grey marble? 2.You think of a number from the first 20 positive numbers. What is the probability that the integer chosen will be divisible by 5? Find the number of outcomes: 1.You are ordering a meal. For the appetizer you can order artichoke dip or onion rings. For the entrée you can order a cheeseburger, chicken fingers or mac and cheese. For dessert you can order ice cream, chocolate cake, a brownie or a cookie. How many different meals can you choose from?

3. COMPOUND EVENTS: Compound events consist of two or more simple events. EXAMPLE: Rolling a die and flipping a penny. Spinning a spinner and drawing a card. Tossing two dice. Flipping two coins.

6. *Since a die cannot show both a 2 and 4 at the same time, the events are MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE.
