CAEP CONFIDENTIAL copyright 2009 CAEP LLC 112 Lincoln Ave. E Fergus Falls MN 56538 caep@caep.org 218-739-3241 W HAT TO EXPECT 8-hour day with extra hours if the horses needs require additional care (evening water check, medications, etc.) 6 days per week (Thoroughbred training is 7 days per week, with most afternoons off) Average stipend- $900-1200 Room and board accommodations vary by host however most have accommodations near or on training site Feeding/watering, turnout, stalls cleaning, grooming, assisting with veterinary and farrier care Riding and/or driving depending on the level of skill of a individual, with the opportunity to improve skills through instruction by the host in most placements (please note some placements are grooming only)

English strong English skills are required Most clinics conduct a telephone interview with the trainee/intern to assess their level of
