Landforms Everglades has different landforms. The Saw palmetto palm tree that covers most of the Pinelands has sharp thorns that can cut you if your not careful. Some landforms in the Everglade are swamps, marshes, rocklands and wetlands. The Pine Forest is the highest point in the Everglades.

Waterways Everglades has Sawgrass Marshes, bays and rivers. Water leaving lake Okeeroobe in the wet season forms the Everglades. Sawgrass Marshes are possible to walk across even in the wet season Florida Bay makes up 1/3 of the Everglades.

Culture People lived there, explored there and now visit there. The Tequesta and Colusa America Indians were the first people to come to the Everglades. The Spanish Explorers came looking for gold and they are the second people to come to the Everglades. Now people visit the Everglades National Park.

Rocks and Minerals Everglades National Park has a lot of limestone. The Pinelands have a hard rocky ground made up of Limestone. Limestone is at the bottom of the Everglades river. The Limestone is made up of shells, mud and sand.
