Park Facts The park was established in 1947, by Harry S. Truman. Marjory Stone Douglas was trying to save the Everglades.

Rocks and Minerals There is limestone and sand is at the bottom of the Everglades rivers, lakes, and swamps.

Rock and minerals details Limestone Limestone is the most found mineral in the Everglades. Sand The Everglades has the tiniest bit of sand in it. Both Limestone and a little bit of sand are found at the bottom of the Everglades.
