3 Chapter 10 section 4 Pg.316 Native Americans have been continually pushed of the best land ever since Europeans (the white man) arrived in North America.

4 The Road to War Conflict With Native Americans Chapter 10 section 4 Pg.316 Chief Little Turtle Miami Indian Chief Chief Blue Jacket Shawnee Indian Chief Chief Little Turtle and Chief Blue Jacket were two Indian chiefs who worked together to arm themselves and prevent white settlers from taking over their land in the Ohio River Valley.

But President Washington sent the U.S. Army under General Anthony Wayne to regain the land in Ohio. The Native Americans and the U.S. Army fought at the Battle of Fallen Timbers where the U.S. forces defeated the Indians.

Tenskwatawa (“The Prophet”) was a religious leader who tried to convince the Indians to respect their traditions and resist depending on goods from the white man.
