I find the concept of utility in particular very attractive.project ‘animal in balance’, Specialty Dairy Of the various systems developed, Specialty Dairy still greatly interests me, with the exception of a few specific aspects. In some respects, I also fit into the idea of a Community Dairy.Specialty DairyCommunity Dairy My own company strategy is as follows: Reducing cost price via growth Have already expanded from 30 to 450 cows Future growth towards 1000 or more cows Utilisation of technology in order to further improve the level of management

"From values to future farming systems" Growth through investment Present operational system: 450 cows at present Cows are indoors all year round Cooperation with a neighbour, milks the cows regularly, fieldwork. Cooperation with young couple in the vicinity, who take care of calves and dry off cows at separate location Sales channels through large established players: Arla for the milk and Danish Crown for meat. Expected developments: Further growth Further specialisation: cooperation with other dairy farmers, establishing a separate transition company for the calving period Interest in wind energy and biogas but no concrete plans as yet.

Growth through investment : Vision regarding the 3 systems SPECIALTY DAIRYSPECIALTY DAIRY: The more we measure, the more we know Utilising all technical resources available to learn more about dairy farming Utilising technical resources to become a better farmer Turning a farm into a factory is not a good idea A farm where visitors are not welcome is not a good development Fits well into the present manner of farming Is for me a beautiful concept to implement

Your own personal vision/strategy is just as good as that of another, as long as you go for it for the full 100%.” Choose a farming system which you feel comfortable with; for example, growth is appropriate for me and a Nature’s Dairy is not.

Then make them as big as your fantasy allows, and then do at least twice as much Strive for perfection
