Ankara is the capital city of Turkey, but the most populated is İstanbul.

The flag of Turkey consists of a white crescent moon and a star on a red background. The flag is called Ay Yıldız (literally, moon star) or Alsancak (red banner) in Turkish.

Language in Turkey Turkish is the only official language throughout Turkey.

Turkish Language The Turkish alphabet has 8 vowels (A E I İ O Ö U Ü ) and 21 consonants. The letters Q,W and X do not exist in Turkish.
